Honey Lou (Davis) Dhans of Lawrence, Kan., passed away May 30, 2023, after several years of ill health. Born and raised in Fort Scott, Kan., she attended Victory country school and then Fort Scott Junior High and High School, graduating with the Class of 1973. As dry conditions continue, the city of Fort Scott has issued a water warning. The city’s warning follows a governor-issued water emergency declaration for Bourbon County and other areas in Kansas.
