With the coming of December, the Fort Scott debate team headed in two directions. At Lawrence, four Tiger teams competed in the 38-team varsity division. Daniel Lyon and his partner Baker Weilert were joined by teammates and partners Matt Carrillo and Glenn Gaeke III to go 4-1 in the preliminary rounds and earn their way into the top-eight to compete in quarterfinals.
