D is for Dog

I just wanted to personally thank Paris Hilton and all the other girls who want to be like her for turning man's best friend into an accessory. As if a $6,000 bracelet and a $3,000 ear rings aren't enough to go with your $5,000 dress that covers your naughty area and nothing else, you had to stoop down so low to use another living thing to make you look better.

I'm not one of those people who says you should never wear fur. Wearing a fur coat is better that taking a dog with you everywhere.

Last weekend I went to a marching band competition in Columbia, Mo. with my fiancÚ. Sitting across the aisle was a young lady, I didn't think anything of it until suddenly I saw a little dog sprout out of her jacket. At that moment I thought to myself, "are you serious?" Why on earth do you need to bring your little dog to a marching band competition?

What ever happened to the days of a man and his dog getting in the truck and heading to the hardware store then going home. Now these young ladies are taking their dog to the night club. I think there are some health code violations there.

An living animal should not be used as an accessory. It should be fed, watered, and loved. Dogs need to run, they need to be outside. I agree, they do need to be pampered every once-in-a-while. That's why you have dog treats. They aren't meant to be placed in a designer dog purse so that you can show them off as a social status symbol.

Dogs are incredibly loyal animals and should be treated with the same respect that they treat their owners.

And possible liquor law violations too, there's no way those dogs are old enough to drink!!
