The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce encourages individuals and businesses to purchase reunion yard signs to show their school spirit and welcome alumni for the all-school reunion taking place June 26-28. Garland Dell Sellers, age 83, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at home. He was born Dec. 30, 1931, to Paul Laverne Sellers and Alberta (Downey) Sellers in Athol, Kan. He married Norma Jean Quick on Feb. 2, 1958. She survives of the home. ...

Cheryl K. Sexton, age 70, a resident of Sheldon, Mo., died early Monday, June 15, 2015, at Medicalodges of Fort Scott, Kan. She was born on Nov. 6, 1944, in El Dorado, Kan., the daughter of Ivan and Cleo Bird Burton. She married Ron Sexton on Aug. 5, 1962, in Independence, Kan. ...

Robert Tallman Crain, 90, of Fort Scott died early Sunday morning, June 14, 2015 at the Medical Lodge in Fort Scott. He was born on March 19, 1925 in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of John Tallman and Anna Josephine (Dudley) Crain. He married Bonnie J. Holden Sept. 11, 1948 in Pittsburg, Kan. Bonnie died Jan. 16, 2002. He married Carol J. Patterson April 23, 2005. She survives of the home...
