Dorothy "Jeannie" Brooks, 70, of Hume, Mo., passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, Mo. She was born Jan. 5, 1943, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Arthur Lee McConnaughey and Dorothy Mae Blake McConnaughey. She was married in Miami, Okla., in 1977 to Tom Brooks and he preceded her in death in 2003...

A decades long tradition will come to an end in a matter of months now that Fort Scott Community College Trustees approved on Monday night moving the FSCC School of Cosmetology back to campus.
