Bonnie L. McDaniel, 79, rural Vernon County, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at her home. She was born June 17, 1933, in Walker, Mo., to Howard Hacker and Angie M. Palmer Hacker. She and Delmar Culbertson were married in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1990. She and Clifford A. McDaniel were later married in 1996 and he survives of the home...

Herald-Tribune Sheldon Mayor Rob Sewell, 44, was arrested Friday night on charges alleging 21 counts of felony forgery. Court documents claim that between April 2008 and August 2010, Sewell wrote checks on John R. Young's First National Bank account, all except one of which were made payable to himself, on 21 occasions, in amounts ranging from $61 to $50,000, totaling more than $150,000. The largest check, the complaint says, was made payable to Doug M. Donald, in July 2010...
