Eva E. Freeman, 84, a former resident of Fort Scott, and more recently of Loveland, Colo., passed away Friday, July 6, 2012, in Loveland. She was born Feb. 3, 1928, the daughter of Leslie E. and Olive Winifred King Turner. She was born in Woods County, Okla., in the same house, same bedroom but different corners that her mother was born in. Work began Monday to rehabilitate the vintage 1933 bridge over the Marmaton River on North National Avenue.
