Police chase leads to arrest of local man on drug, traffic charges

A Fort Scott man was charged on Wednesday with numerous counts for reckless driving and drug charges stemming from a police chase last week that ended in the Marmaton River. Quintin D. Members of the Fort Scott Hurricanes swim team jump into the cool water for a practice Thursday morning at the Fort Scott Municipal Pool, which opened to the general public on Monday. The swim team practices for about two months to prepare for their season, which typically consists of about six or seven meets at Fort Scott and surrounding areas.
