Details, origin of event center explained

The details of a multi-million dollar project to build a multi-purpose event center in Fort Scott were provided during a town hall meeting Thursday night at the Empress Event Center.

Garth Herrman, the city bond counselor through Gilmore & Bell, as well as City Manager Brad Matkin and Robert Harrington, director of Bourbon County Regional Economic Development, Inc. (REDI), spoke on the project.
