Legislator talks health care with county commissioners

ssioners on Monday heard a legislator’s perspective on health care and other issues as the county faces the closing of its emergency room Dec. 20.

Kansas 13th District Sen. Tim Shallenburger said he wanted to introduce himself to commissioners and answer any questions they might have as legislators prepare to convene for their next session, which starts in January. Expansion of the state’s Medicaid program could be on lawmakers’ agenda, he said.
