UPDATE: The schedule for regional softball in Atchison has once again changed.

Due to wet field conditions, Fort Scott's games will now be played Wednesday. The Lady Tigers will play Independence at 1 p.m. If they win, they will play in the championship game about 4:30 p.m.

The Fort Scott High School Lady Tiger softball team, the No. 10 seed in the East Regional, will travel to Atchison Tuesday to begin regional play.

The Lady Tigers (11-8) will play Independence (13-7, No. 7 seed) at 2 p.m. at Benedictine College. If the Lady Tigers win, they will play the winner of a matchup between Atchison High School/Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy (14-4, No. 2 seed) and Iola High School (6-13, No. 15 seed) in the championship game at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Fort Scott Tiger baseball team, the No. 5 seed in the East, will travel to Iola Tuesday to begin regional play.

The Tigers (14-6) will play Parsons (9-11, No. 12 seed) at 2 p.m. at Allen County Community College. A win would put the Tigers in the championship game against either Iola High School (12-5, No. 4 seed) or Baldwin High School/Lawrence-Bishop Seabury Academy (7-11, No. 13 seed) at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The winner of each regional will advance to the Class 4A State Tournament May 25-26 in Salina.
