FSCC men's rodeo team rides to regional championship

The Fort Scott Community College mens’ rodeo team had first place on their minds as they headed into their final rodeo of the season April 27-29 at Panhandle State University in Oklahoma.

The Hounds achieved first place and were crowned champions of the Central Plains Region. The win means the Hounds will take six men to the College National Finals Rodeo, which takes place June 11-17 in Casper, Wyo.

FSCC’s Quintonn Lunsford brought home some hardware as the champion bareback rider in the region. Bryce Eck was crowned reserve all-around champion and placed third in the bareback competition. More on the rodeo team will appear in a future edition. – FSCC sports information
