Splash pad location solidified

A splash pad will be constructed on the northwest area of Skubitz Plaza, with ground breaking expected to be next week, weather permitting.

The Fort Scott City Commissioners voted 4-1 Tuesday in favor of the proposed location for the splash pad. Voting yes were Tim Van Hoecke, Katy Harrington, Matthew Wells and Edwin Woellhof. Josh Jones, who is on the splash pad committee, abstained.
