Wallis to retire from emergency management

Recent health issues and other factors have spurred Bourbon County Emergency Manager William Wallis to resign from the position after eight years of service.

Wallis, who turned 65 in April, said his age, health and benefits are reasons he has chosen to retire at the end of the year.
