Grants awarded for PPE, additional deputy

Bourbon County Public Health Officer Rebecca Johnson issued an update Tuesday afternoon on COVID-19 figures for Bourbon and Woodson counties. Johnson said both counties reported new cases on Tuesday. Seven new cases were confirmed in Bourbon County.

In Bourbon County, there are 17 current positive cases; one presumptive case (listed on the KDHE website, tested negative); 11 recovered cases (includes presumptive case); 28 total positive cases since testing began; and one death.

In Woodson County, there are 4 current positive cases; six current recovered cases; 10 total positive cases since testing began; and no deaths. Recovered cases are based on dates of onset of symptoms, not on the day testing results are received.

Johnson said there have been a total of 19 new cases since an increase in cases begin being reported June 22.
