Hired on Dec. 1, 1963, Dikeman wrote human interest, lifestyles and society stories and took photographs. Her column,"The Kitchen Kabinet," in which she shared recipes, homemaker tips and other information ran for 20 years. Many friends and readers who she'd never met attended the reception at The Tribune office.
