The two, now Alberta Coe of Fort Scott, and Roberta Sellers of Tulsa, wife of the late Robert Sellers, will celebrate their 80th birthday on Oct. 24. They are both looking forward to their birthday and plan to meet in Oklahoma. Alberta says they're still kicking, just not as high.

Twins Alberta Taylor Coe, Fort Scott, and Roberta Taylor Sellers, Tulsa, Okla., will celebrate their 80th birthday on Oct. 24.

They are both looking forward to their birthday and plan to meet in Oklahoma. They were both in orchestra and had an older sister, the late Deloris Taylor Person. The three were known as the Taylor Sisters and played with A.J. Cripe and his band around the area.

Roberta played the guitar, Alberta, the mandolin, and Deloris, the violin and all three sang.

They played at many radio stations around the state, including an appearance at KVGB in Great Bend. The general manager of the station, Milton Spece, sent them a letter giving them a rave review. "The Taylor Sisters, first have excellent appearance. They are fine artists, have (a) good wardrobe and have the ability to sell themselves to the listening and seeing audience."

Alberta and her husband Ben have six children, 23 grandchildren and 12 or 13 grandchildren. Roberta has three children and four grandchildren.
