To the Editor:

I was very pleased with all the positive responses I received from the letter describing HB 2763 the Kansas Economic Freedom Act of 2014 (Fair Tax model) you recently published.

And I have more good news to relate. We have the real opportunity to get this passed in the House this session.

Here's how: On Wednesday, March 14, at 3:30 p.m. in the Capital in Topeka, the 22 members of the House Tax Committee will hear testimony in favor of HB 2763.

And that's where we come in.

Very credible speakers will be lined up to testify on March 14, but what's really important is you! We need 2,000 to 3,000 citizens to travel to Topeka on March 14 to attend the hearing on HB 2763 and show the legislators assembled just who they really work for -- the taxpayers of Kansas. And all you need to do is stand and be seen and respectfully tell your representative that you expect him or her to pass HB 2763 out of this committee.
