To the Editor:

Kansas Citizens for Immigration Law Enforcement www.kcfile.org is the website to go to and sign a Petition in support of a strong Kansas Immigration Bill to enforce E-verify (Electronic Verification) in businesses and reverse in-state tuition for illegal aliens. These signatures will be taken to Topeka in the next legislative session and presented as support to an immigration bill that has been long overdue in Kansas.

Many states are enforcing laws that the federal government has refused to enforce. Since the migration of many illegal aliens into our country it has caused crime, less jobs for American citizens, and tax dollars being spent on benefits provided to illegal aliens such as in-state tuition, food stamps, welfare, housing and medical.

Kansas needs a strong immigration bill to be passed. We need the E-verify to make sure jobs are going to citizens. We need to reverse in-state tuition and other benefits so that the citizen can stop paying their hard earned tax dollars for benefits to someone who does not have the right to be in the U.S. And the most important reason is crime. We do not know who is crossing our borders and let me just say that many of these illegal do not stay in the border states, they travel to other states where the incentives or magnates such as benefits attract them.

Our quality of life has deteriorated. We, the Kansas Citizens are the VICTIM. Many Kansans are out of work and illegal aliens have taken those jobs. We have a vicious cycle in Kansas; there are illegal aliens in Kansas working for low wages and no benefits while we the taxpayer compensate them for what the employer fails to do. While we are providing for illegal aliens it is necessary for our citizens out of work to receive unemployment funding, food stamps, and other benefits from our tax dollars. It will only get worse if we don't do something now. Here's an example of our quality of life in decline: A friend of mine worked in the meat packing industry about fifteen years ago and made fair wages and benefits; my uncle worked as a roofer with fair wages and benefits; it was not necessary for them to apply for compensated tax dollar programs; so the reasoning behind citizens not wanting these jobs is weak; it is the slave wages/no benefits presently being distributed by employers and the entitlement programs that cause the problem.

Our voices need to be heard. Please go to www.kcfile.org, sign the Petition and submit it. Take a look at the information and testimonial while you are on the site.
