$100,000 Powerball ticket sold Saturday

TOPEKA -- A Kansas Powerball ticket sold in the Saturday drawing is worth $100,000. The winning ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball. The player who purchased the ticket also paid an extra dollar per play for the Power Play option, multiplying the prize by ten in a special 10X promotion that started last month.

The winning numbers are 09-12-13-35-38 Powerball 30 Multiplier 10. The $100,000 ticket was sold in the northeast region of Kansas, which includes these 21 counties: Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Osage, Douglas, Franklin, Miami, Morris, and Lyon (northern half).

Power Play normally multiplies non-jackpot prizes from two to five times. However, during a special promotion, a 10 replaced one of the 5s in the field of numbers to be selected from before each Powerball drawing. Now that the 10 has been hit, the promotion is ended.

A player in south central Kansas also matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball, but did not have the Power Play option. That ticket is worth $10,000. No ticket matched all numbers in the June 12 drawing, so the jackpot has rolled to an estimated $60 million for Wednesday's drawing.

The Super Kansas Cash jackpot for Monday night was estimated at $280,000. The Hot Lotto jackpot is an estimated $1.33 million for Wednesday. The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday's drawing is an estimated $12 million after the jackpot was hit in Michigan last Friday.
