LAURA E. MCGREW

Laura E. McGrew, 95, died Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Sunset Manor in Frontenac, Kansas. Formerly of Denver, Colorado, she moved to Pittsburg, Kansas, after the death of her husband, Samuel McGrew, in 1985. She was a fifty-year member of the Golden Sheaf chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of the First Avenue Presbyterian Church in Denver. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Emmett, of Pittsburg; a step-daughter, Evelyn Gentsch, of Crestview, Florida; and two granddaughters: Katherine Emmett-Sweetser of Fort Scott and Audrey Emmett of Washington, DC. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg. After cremation, interment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
