Thanks to organizers of the Gordon Parks event

To the Editor,

As for the past four years, I again came to Fort Scott to attend the Gordon Parks Celebration of Culture and Diversity. As in the past, the event was professionally planned and executed and the events continue to be diverse, and representative of the work that Dr. Gordon Parks created.

I am writing to thank all individuals who helped plan and carry out the celebration. My very special thanks go to Jill Warford, who keeps Gordon Parks' memory alive and who works tirelessly and selflessly to bring the event to Ft. Scott. I hope that many young people will come to appreciate what Dr. Parks stood for and will, eventually, thank Ms. Warford for her continuing work.
