Accident on Highway 54

Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper James Wilde takes obtains information about an accident that occurred at mid-morning Thursday on U.S. Highway 54 just east of the Kansas-Missouri state line. Wilde said the accident occurred when a west-bound Pontiac van was passing another vehicle and collided with a west-bound grain truck that was turning left off the highway. Wilde said the female driver of the van was injured, but no further details were available at press time. Wilde said a detailed description of the accident will be available on the Missouri Highway Patrol Web site by Thursday afternoon.
