Commission places moratorium on cryptocurrency mining

Bourbon County Commissioners on Monday discussed concerns such as setting precedence and the potential for litigation regarding a moratorium on the mining of cryptocurrency. The Fort Scott High School doubles team of Abbie Gorman and Bryleigh Hymer was slated to begin competition Friday at the Class 4A State Tennis Tournament in Prairie Village. The duo is 23-2 on the season and seeded eighth at the state tournament after finishing in third place at the regional tournament.
