Chester Kruse, 85, of Hepler, Kan., died at 11:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025 in the Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Mo., where he entered Sept. 22. Bourbon County Commissioners are looking into possible action concerning a Bitcoin mining operation in the county. Commissioners on Monday heard further concerns from county resident Derek Raines, who first brought the issue to the commission in September, as well as other residents.
