City’s amended fireworks ordinance now in effect

As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, an amended city of Fort Scott ordinance allows an extra day for the discharge of fireworks. On May 20, Fort Scott City Commissioners approved by a 4-1 vote to adopt Ordinance No. 3781, which repeals Ordinance No. 3585 and amends Section 15.020.025 in the city’s municipal code, regarding the sale and discharge of fireworks.
