  • Eagles sweep Hornets (High School Sports ~ 02/04/22)
    The Uniontown High School Eagle and Lady Eagle varsity basketball teams swept the Hornets Jan. 28 in Chetopa. There were no JV contests. The Lady Eagles (12-1, 4-1) toppled the Hornets, 52-21. Brooklyn Dreisbach and Danielle Howard each scored 12 points. Howard also collected five rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Rylee Coulter had five rebounds as well, and six steals. Reese Gorman recorded five steals. Gwen Fry scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds...
  • Schedule changes due to weather (High School Sports ~ 02/04/22)
    Fort Scott High School A home forensics tournament scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday was cancelled. A varsity wrestling tournament at Rose Hill and basketball games at Chanute were still scheduled to take place Friday. Uniontown High School Winter Homecoming coronation has been postponed from Friday to Thursday, Feb. 10. UHS will host Altoona-Midway that evening. The homecoming dance has also been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12...
