Doris Mae Williams, 93, of Redfield, Kan. died Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Country Place Senior Living in Fort Scott, Kan. She was born Dec. 9, 1927 in Fairplay, Mo., the oldest of three daughters born to Charles and Aileen (Butler) Richard. Her parents moved to the Redfield area when she was an infant and she and her sisters were raised there. She married John C. (Jack) Williams on Feb. 24, 1952 in Redfield, Kan. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2005. ...

Mary Jo DiNardo, 96, of Fort Scott, passed away Monday afternoon, June 14, 2021 at the Presbyterian Village in Fort Scott, Kan. Funeral arrangements for Mary Jo DiNardo are incomplete and will be announced later by the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

City commissioners approved a resolution to accept recommendations made by the Street Advisory Board for the 2022 budget. The recommendations were presented during the June 1 commission meeting by Advisory Board member Brian Allen.
