Early voting begins

Early voting got underway Wednesday at the Bourbon County Clerk’s Office. These voting booths are located on the first floor at the northeast entrance of the Bourbon County Courthouse, 210 S. National Ave. Ballots can be obtained, then cast in the machines inside the clerk’s office across the hall from the booths. All voters must show a photo identification. Complaint on student eligibility under appeal

Fort Scott Community College officials will wait on an appeal process concerning an alleged complaint filed regarding the eligibility of a student-athlete on the FSCC football team. Two Fort Scott High School Tiger golfers battled harsh conditions to finish in the top 10 overall at the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A Girls Golf State Championship Monday and Tuesday at the Hesston Golf Course.
