County may meet threshold for disaster relief

Board approves purchase of new bus barn building

The USD 234 Board of Education voted unanimously Monday night to purchase a building in the Fort Scott Industrial Park for use as a district bus barn. After hearing concerns from several citizens on the purchase, the board voted 6-0 to purchase the old 7-Up facility, a 10,000-square-foot building located at 415 Marble Road for $250,000.
