Several Fort Scott Tiger varsity tracksters qualified for the state track meet during the Class 4A Regional track meet May 17 in Paola. The top four competitors in each event qualified for the state meet, which is scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University. City commissioners approve street improvement program

The Fort Scott City Commission on Tuesday approved streets to be repaired as part of the 2019 Road Improvement Program. Public Works Director Chad Brown outlined contracted work to be completed on Wall Street, as well as several other projects on the city’s slate this year.
