Family displaced by Wednesday night house fire in Fort Scott

Fort Scott Fire Department officials are investigating a Wednesday night fire that damaged a house in the 100 block of N. Judson Street and displaced the family living there. A case of a missing young woman in Overland Park became a case of an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday night. At about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, Kansas City, Mo., police officers were contacted by Overland Park Police Department in regard to Mikayla Norris formerly of Fort Scott. City agrees to allow businesses to discharge guns for training, sporting events
