Robert L. Howell, age 60, a resident of Fort Scott, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan. Services for Robert Howell will be announced by the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott.

City Commissioners on Tuesday approved a five-year plan for short-term and long-term improvements at the Fort Scott Municipal Airport.
