Melva Deane Glaser, 81 of Pittsburg, Kan., died Feb. 20, 2016 at the Guest Home Estates in Pittsburg. She was born June 5, 1934 in Pittsburg, the daughter of Robert "Bob" and Vivian (Campbell) Miller. On Dec. 28, 1954 she enlisted in the U.S. Army where she served several years active duty in Japan and Germany. She was honorably discharged Nov. 12, 1957 with the rank of sergeant...

Raymond L. Hinderliter, 98, of Fort Scott, died Sunday morning, Feb. 21, 2016 at the Fort Scott Medicalodge. He was born Aug. 23, 1917 in Amos, Mo., the son of Edwin Roy and Florence Inez (Umphenour) Hinderliter. He married Rose Esther Buck June 18, 1939 in Fort Scott, Kan., and she preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1989.
