Kristina L. "Cricket" Dodson, age 70, resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at her home. She was born on Aug. 29, 1945, in Vallejo, Calif., the daughter of Ellwood and Harriet Hoffman Stambaugh. She graduated high school in Prescott, Kan., with the class of 1963. ...

Local teen Andy Bryant's 2015 racing season ended with a United States Racing Association national championship. The 16-year-old Fort Scott High School sophomore finished a 2015 campaign with 17 wins combined with 39 top five and 45 top 10 finishes, crowning him the USRA National Champion in the B-Mod division. Bryant started a total of 66 races this season and finished with a total of 4,543 points, just shy of a 100-point lead over the second place finisher in the B-Mod division...
