Commission votes to change National Avenue speed limit

The speed limit along a portion of South National Avenue will soon change following approval Tuesday by the Fort Scott City Commission. Fort Scott Police Chief Travis Shelton appeared before the commission to recommend lowering the speed limit on National from the currently posted 30 mph to 20 mph from Sixth to 15th streets.
