  • * Juco history recalled as building is razed (Local News ~ 07/21/15)
    A piece of Fort Scott's educational history is coming down. Workers with Ark Wrecking of Tulsa, Okla., the demolition contractor for the project, have been working in recent weeks to demolish the old three-story building at Fort Scott High School, often called the Juco wing. The demolition is part of the $40.8 million USD 234 school bond issue to make district-wide improvements that voters approved in November. Eventually, a new building will go up in its place...
