The Bourbon County Commissioners agreed on Monday that Bourbon County's poverty issues reflect those found throughout Southeast Kansas. USD 234 officials provided information on a proposed $40.8 million district bond issue and fielded some questions from attendees during the first of four planned public forums on the proposal Tuesday evening at Fort Scott High School.
