Rainwater that washed over 160th Street flows along the roadside and around a road sign north of Devon following a thunderstorm that blew through a portion of the county Friday afternoon. The Bourbon County Conservation District made its annual appropriation request Friday to the Bourbon County Commissioners. Last year, the county gave $38,000 in funding to the district. This year's request is for $40,000. Captain America and other participants take part in the survivor and caregiver lap Friday evening during the annual Bourbon County Relay For Life held on the campus of Fort Scott Community College.
