The Tigers finished the regular season unbeaten in league play, 10-0, and were 15-3 overall going into Monday's first-round Class 4A Regional Tournament game against Pittsburg. ...

WICHITA -- Fort Scott Community College's stay in the Region VI Tournament finals lasted just two games as the Greyhounds were knocked out of the double-elimination tournament by Jayhawk Conference-Western Division champion Seward County here Saturday, 8-5...

WICHITA -- Fort Scott High's Davis Drake and Gage Addington finished their season with a 2-2 record in the doubles bracket at the Kansas Class 4A State Tennis Tournament here Friday. Fort Scott's pair finished this season with a record of 17-9. "Coming in as a sixth-place qualifier makes the State Tournament a challenge and Davis and Gage should be very proud of the way they competed," Fort Scott head coach Lynn Barr said. ...

Hopefully, Delane Gray remembered sometime between the end of Monday night's game and right now to look up who Kirk Gibson is. A comparison to Gray's pinch-hit, run scoring single to Gibson's 1988 World Series home run was brought up during a Chanute Class 4A Regional Tournament game at Don Hewett Field. The second-seeded Tigers (16-3) defeated rival Pittsburg, 6-0, in a game much, much closer than the score indicated...
