The reactions were priceless as St. Mary's Catholic School first graders in Kayla West's class gathered around a black, rotting tooth on Tuesday during an experiment to raise awareness about the damage soda and sugars can do to teeth. The experiment, the brainchild of registered dental hygienist Stacy Wunderly, of Advanced Dental Care of Fort Scott, was designed to teach children at the school how scientific experiments are conducted and to also teach them the dangers of sugary drinks and food. ...
