Christmas is such a special time of year to reflect back over the past year and truly thank God for His bountiful blessings. We have survived another year without any major setbacks. We have both arrived in our lives to the age of 80 and 81 and still have our mental facilities and, so far, can walk around without any help. Now, let me tell you folks, that is a big plus...

Board considers heat, air proposal

The USD 234 Board of Education is one step closer to making some needed repairs to Fort Scott High School's heating and air conditioning system. Business Manager Tiffany Forester sought proposals from two engineering firms to help iron out what should be requested when the project bid out. While the ultimate goal is to replace the system, the cost is well beyond the district's budget.
