A few years ago church marquees began illustrating clever messages in hopes passersby would reconsider missing the Sunday services. This is one of my favorites: "As you pass this little church, be sure to plan a visit, So when at last you're carried in, God won't ask 'Who is it?'"...

Maurice Lydell Lindsey, 31, 102 State St., Fort Scott, was arrested by the Fort Scott Police Department on Nov. 2 at 11:34 p.m. for possession of marijuana. He posted a $1,250 bond and was released at on Nov. 3 at 1:32 a.m.
