Busy times: Local CASA program needs volunteers

It's a busy time of year for the Bourbon County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, which is currently trying to recruit volunteers to help provide services for local children. Bourbon County CASA Program Director Christa Horn said she currently has 24 volunteers -- some of whom have been involved with CASA for 20 years -- working on cases for the agency, which provides trained community volunteers who help advocate for abused or neglected children of various ages during juvenile court proceedings after the child is placed in protective services.. ...
