Local chapter of P.E.O. celebrates 60 years

On Wednesday evening, Nov. 3, P.E.O., Chapter FU of Fort Scott celebrated its 60th anniversary as a chapter. The chapter was charted on Oct. 31, 1950. The celebration was held at the Liberty Theatre. The club was graced by the presence of Jeannette Mooney, Kansas State President. A special tribute was given to Esther Anne Sewell, who was initiated into the chapter as a charter member. Ballots mailed to voters; deadline is Dec. 6

Farm Service Agency (FSA) Administrator Jonathan Coppess announced last week that the 2010 FSA county committee election ballots were all mailed out by Nov. 5 to eligible voters.
