Southeast Kansas residents found themselves scrambling Monday to keep warm as area temperatures barely climbed out of single digit territory. Once wind chills were accounted for, Fort Scott residents were blasted by blistering, minus 5-degree temperatures.

Because of the Gift of Warmth Program, the Bourbon County Chapter of the American Red Cross is once again stocked with blankets which will provide warmth during the cold winter months.
