We had a nice evening and a good turnout at the senior dance at Buck Run Community Center Monday night. There were not any new dancers, but we had several that hadn't been to the dance for sometime. Illness and the weather have not been very cooperative this spring...

Starlite F.C.E. learns about 'The air we breathe' in recent trip

The Stariite F.C.E. is "on the go". On April 10th, Stariite helped host the annual Spring Social with 32 people in attendance. This was held in Fellowship Hall of the Community Christian Church. A delightful program was presented by students of the Fort Scott High School Forensics Class. Also, a $200 scholarship was presented to Sabrina Minor, a senior at Fort Scott High School. Matthew R. Sisney awaits transport to an undisclosed Kansas Department of Transportation facility after a judge sentenced him to seven years in prison for enticing a 13 year old girl to have sex with him last year. Bourbon County District Judge Mark A. Ward sentenced the 19 year old on April 17 to 85 months on two felony counts of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child. The judge gave Sisney 51 months on count one and 34 months for count two. The two counts are slated to run consecutively...
