KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fort Scott Community College's baseball team swept a doubleheader from the Rockhurst College junior varsity here Monday, winning game one 10-3 and taking the second game, 5-3. Lions Field was too wet, especially in the outfield, to play Tuesday's scheduled Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division doubleheader with Independence. A group of local junior high students recently learned, through the life of a Holocaust survivor, about the systematic persecution and murder of Jews that took place in Europe under the German Nazi regime from 1941 to 1945.
