Business leaders' alliance to conduct workforce seminar

Area business leaders who are interested in learning more about the local workforce and communicating with employees will be able to do just that during a public seminar next month in Fort Scott. FSHS orchestra, 4 others to merge talents

The Fort Scott High School Orchestra will soon join forces with four other orchestras. On Nov. 3, students from Fort Scott, Pittsburg, Parsons, Riverton and Independence will unite in Chanute to form the KMEA, Southeast District Mass Orchestra. Bonnie Hines reported on the first monthly community Gospel Sing that was held at the Arcadia Community Center on the evening of Oct. 13. The event was hosted by Mayor Paul Starne.
