FSNHS hopes to see slight funding boost

Fort Scott National Historic Site would see a slight increase in operational funding as a result of the $2.4 billion National Park Service budget for 2008 outlined by President Bush in February. According to a written NPS statement, Bush's budget proposal calls for the largest ever increase in park operations funding and leverages public and private investments that could generate as much as $3 billion to help those parks prepare for their 100th birthday in 2016...
